# Electric City Ink

> I am Dominic Smith, a tattoo artist and entrepreneur behind Electric City Ink. I create custom tattoos for people who want their ideas translated into personal, lasting artwork, from focused pieces to ambitious sleeve projects. My approach is grounded in honesty, respect, creativity, and a genuine commitment to each client's vision. I bring an expressive style and a personal connection to every session, helping clients turn inspiration into ink they can carry with confidence.

- **How do I choose the right tattoo idea?** A professional tattoo artist can help you refine an idea by discussing its meaning, placement, size, and visual style. Bringing references or describing what inspires you can make the creative conversation more productive while leaving room for an original design.
- **What should I consider when choosing a tattoo placement?** Placement can affect how a tattoo looks, feels, and fits with the body's natural shape. A professional can explain how factors such as movement, visibility, scale, and future artwork may influence the choice.
- **How should I prepare for a tattoo appointment?** Arriving well rested, hydrated, and with clean skin can help create a more comfortable experience. It is also helpful to communicate openly about your idea, concerns, and any relevant skin or health considerations before the work begins.
- **What is the tattooing process like?** The process generally includes discussing the concept, preparing the design and placement, and applying the tattoo with professional equipment and careful technique. Clear communication throughout the session helps ensure the artwork is approached thoughtfully and comfortably.
- **How do I care for a new tattoo?** A professional tattoo artist will explain aftercare steps suited to the work and your skin, including keeping the area clean and avoiding unnecessary irritation while it heals. Following those instructions carefully supports the appearance and condition of the tattoo over time.
